NFORMATIOM LEAFLET FOR WOMEN CALL CENTRE UGANDA


  1. Name and address of the organization
The name of the organization shall be known as WOMEN CALL CENTRE-UGANDA. In short the organization shall be WOMEN CALL CENTRE-UGANDA)
The project was established by 23 women in 2004 to address women marginalization or exploitations in rural and lake regions in kasese western Uganda.
At the time of promulgation of this constitution the organizations address is:

  1. Legal status: WOMEN CALL CENTRE-UGANDA is registered as an independent, non-partisan, non political, nongovernmental and nonprofit making organization. We are registered by kasese District local government as women organization .

  1. Operational scope
The geographical and programmatic operational scope of the western Uganda and Rwenzori Region
Goal: To increase ways for women to access community resources for sustainable development

Mission:To ensure that all communities are achieving a society transformation  in socail development enterprises for economic and socio-cultural rural  Development.
Vision : improving well developed women economy that involves self reliance for economic empowerment to achieve women reformation and transformation of rural women.

Objectives women call centre

1)       Promote advocacy for marginalized women  and peace building initiatives in the communities.
2)       Promotion and support of community health programs geared towards health improvement in the doubly marginalized communities
3)       To suport vocational training to the double marginalized groups.
4)       To increase  economic small scale business organizations for women development 

 4. ACTIVITIES/PROGRAMS

  • TRAINING :Work shop/ Demonstration plots, Vocational training, conservational training and community training programs relevant to rural agriculture and conservation enterprises
  • HUMAN RIGHTS
  • HIV/AIDS
  • SMALL SCALE RURAL AGRICULTURE AND CONSERVATION ENTERPRISES

5.TARET GROUP
Ø  Vulnerable women, children.
6.ORGAN GRAM
1.    foundation structure has the highest policy making organ as the general assembly of members
2.    Board of directors is in charge of policy making and overall supervision of policy implementation.
The executive committee with coming up policy proposals to the general assembly of members and implementation of decisions and policies made by the general assembly of members. The executive committee supervises the affairs of the organization and appoints the members of the secretariat

The executive committee comprises of, chairman, vice chairman, treasurer, general secretary, legal adviser, technical advisor, one member.

3.    Secretariat is headed by executive director. It comprises of coordinator, program officers, accountant, cashier

Each program is attached to volunteer for effectiveness.

 7.SCOPE

Kyarumba,kasese town, L. Katwe, Kisinga, Kyondo, Mahango, Muhokya, and  Rukoki  subcounties   in western Uganda .

CORE VALUES

Vertical and lateral accountability, Transparency, discovery of innovation in agriculture is wisdom of life of people of Uganda, Gender sensitivity and Respect for nature resource utilization and consider agriculture as source of food for growing population in world.
